On Wednesday, March 20th, FYP-DC members took part in a Filipino food tasting at Zengo in Chinatown. Zengo is an artful blend of Latin-Asian styles and flavors. Chef-owner Richard Sandoval, whose accolades include Bon Appétit Restaurateur of the Year and Mexico's Toque d'Oro, spins regional ingredients into beautifully balanced dishes designed for sharing.
Some of the items on the menu, included:
- Filipino (Lumpia) Spring Rolls
- Oxtail Humitas
- Bacolod Filipino BBQ Chicken
- Tagalog Style Churrasco Steak
