Event: 71st Bataan Day Commemoration

ARAW NG KAGITINGAN (Day of Valor)

Please join us in the 71st Bataan Day Commemoration. Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor), also known as Bataan Day, is a national observance in the Philippines which commemorates the fall of Bataan during World War II.

There are two parts to the program. The first part will take place at the WWII Memorial on the National Mall on April 9, 2013 from 4:00pm - 5:30pm.
4:00pm - 4:30pm: Assembly
5:00pm - 5:30pm: Wreath-laying Ceremony
5:30pm: End of Ceremony
5:30pm - 6:00pm: Departure & Proceed to Romulo Hall at the Philippine Embassy

The second part takes place at Romulo Hall at the Philippine Embassy starting at 6:30pm.

- Invocation (WWII Veteran)
- Recognition of WWII Veterans & Families Present
- Welcome Remarks & Introduction of the Speaker (MGen Delfin N. Lorenzana AFP (Ret))
- Remarks by Hon. Maria Andrelita Austria | Chargé d’ Affaire
- Dinner & Refreshments
