Dear Kababayan,

In commemoration of Labor Rights Week, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office and the Consular Section of the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. have invited resource speakers from United States government agencies for its third Talakayan sa Embahada forum.

Officials from the Wage and Hour Division (WHD), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) will speak about the important topic of worker’s rights under US laws, including employer-employee relations, discrimination, wages and hours of work, and occupational safety and health.

The forum will take place at the Embassy’s Romulo Hall on 16 August 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Take advantage of this valuable opportunity to listen and engage with experts in this field. All members of the Filipino American community are welcome to attend, particularly the younger generation as new or future entrants in the workforce. Lunch will be served and participation is free-of-charge.

As seating is limited, please RSVP by sending an email to oww_washingtondc@yahoo.com by 15 August 2013.
